About Us

What We Do and Why

We are a non-profit organization offering career help to those seeking job-related skills and hands-on experience in various specialized positions.

From our Founder, Fred Igbeare (CISSP, CISA, CCSP, C|CISO, PCIP, CISM, CCSK, CDPSE, QSA), a former adjunct professor: “The need for setting up Vocational Scholars became apparent to me after reflecting on how to address a constant complaint I kept encountering from folks seeking career advancements. They wanted to work but were getting rejected because they did not have work experience. Well, if you don’t give them a job, how then can they get the needed experience?

“I thank God for the vision to setup this organization to help people achieve their goals in life while making a legitimate living. From experience, I know the hardships of not working, and the damages it can cause in your life when you struggle to pay your bills and cannot afford the necessities of life. No one should have to go through such hardships. My goal is to partner with like-minded individuals and organizations to open doors of opportunities for those from low-income backgrounds and underserved communities.

“I offer a million heart-felt thanks to our current and future partners, contributors, mentors, volunteers and donors. May God bless you abundantly always for your roles in helping fellow humans, and may your resources increase exceedingly beyond measure by God’s grace! Amen!

“And by God’s grace, we shall succeed together helping desiring people gain the required skill sets and hands-on experience to succeed in their chosen careers. Indeed, a loving and working God provides living examples for our mission and vision at Vocational Scholars, for we strive to work as God does: showing good works!
